The Center for Education and Training in Honor of Sister Maura Clarke (CECIM) works to promote the development of the community. Since the foundation's creation in 1992, CECIM's work lies primarily within the areas of: literacy programs, the education of adults, professional technical classes, developing labor skills, recreation and social support to the community.
The principal contribution to the surrounding community has been improving the educational field and strengthening the community within Ciudad Sandino, specifically, the urban and rural sectors.
